Eli is a mechanical engineer, inventor, and serial entrepreneur who is responsible for more than 100 inventions and 50 patents. Eli has more than 25 years of expertise in medical device development and interventional cardiology and has unique experience in developing cardiac metallic implants and delivery systems. In his previous role as CTO at InspireMD, Eli orchestrated several class III device projects, taking them from concept to market. Eli excels in leading product development teams from concept through product design and clinical approvals to worldwide sales.

Prior to co-founding VALFIX, Elad was the Scientific Manager at Medtronic, a large multinational corporation. Elad has been VP Clinical Research at several SMEs, such as InspireMD, and has extensive experience working with clinicians in hospitals as well as providing clinical support to sales and marketing teams. With rich expertise in clinical trial design and execution, Elad is skilled in business development in the field of medical devices, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), biomedical engineering, and cardiology. Surin Mitruka, MD, MBA practiced adult cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery in the private sector as the Director of three surgical programs and Heart Institutes in California. He specialized in complex coronary revascularizations, and minimally invasive valve surgery. He is widely published, travelled extensively to lecture and demonstrate procedures for arrhythmia surgery, and served as a KOL for Medtronic. Previously, he Co-Founded a medical device company to a successful exit. Dr Yaron Almagor is an interventional cardiologist and the Director of the Invasive Cardiology unit at Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem, Israel. He is one of the pioneers of interventional cardiology and a leading cardiologist in Israel. Dr Almagor is well known and respected in the international cardiology community and serves as an associate and co-director of the Columbus Heart Center in Milan. Dr Almagor has been instrumental in several development projects throughout his career that resulted in the market launch of several medical devices.

In addition to heading Academic Affairs at Mount Sinai, Dr Gregg Stone is Professor of Medicine and Population Health Sciences and Policy at Mount Sinai in New York. Dr Stone has served as principal investigator for approximately 100 national and international multi-center randomized trials and has authored more than 2,000 peer-reviewed publications. His areas of expertise include interventional therapies of acute coronary syndromes; transcatheter mitral valve repair and replacement; clinical trial design; and regulatory issues.

Dr Semih Oktay is the President and founder of CardioMed Device Consultants. Dr Oktay worked for six years as an expert Mechanical Engineer and scientific reviewer for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the Office of Device Evaluation, Interventional Cardiology Devices Branch. In this role he served as primary reviewer in the product areas of coronary stents, peripheral stents, and balloon angioplasty catheters. Dr Oktay holds a considerable and in-depth understanding of the fields of material science, medical devices, medical device regulations, and regulatory submission requirements.

Dr Martin Leon is a Professor of Cardiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and Director of the Center for Interventional Vascular Therapy (CIVT) at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. A distinguished pioneer in interventional cardiovascular medicine, Dr Leon has been the national principal investigator for over 50 clinical trials that helped shape the field. He has co-authored almost 2,000 peer-reviewed scientific publications and abstracts. As a practicing interventional cardiologist, Dr Leon has performed more than 10,000 procedures during his career.
