Eli is a mechanical engineer, inventor and entrepreneur with over 25 years of expertise in medical device development and Interventional Cardiology. He is responsible for more than 100 inventions and 50 patents and has co-authored two medical science articles. Eli has unique experience in the development of cardiac metallic implants and delivery systems and, previously as CTO at InspireMD, orchestrated several class III device projects taking them from concept to market. Eli excels in leading product development teams from concept through product design and clinical approvals to worldwide sales.
VP Clinical & Regulatory
Elad has both a MSc. in Medical Physics and an MBA. He has worked for a large multinational corporation (Medtronic) and small and medium-sized enterprises, such as InspireMD, working with clinicians in hospitals as well as giving clinical support to sales and marketing teams. His main expertise is in clinical trial design and execution. Elad is skilled in business development in the field of Medical Devices, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Biomedical Engineering and Cardiology.
PHILIP LAVIN PhD
Dr. Philip Lavin is a Biomedical Statistician and an independent statistical consultant for clinical trials design, analysis, execution, and representation to regulatory, reimbursement, and legal agencies. Dr. Lavin has over 35 years serving as an expert consultant with core expertise in biostatistics. He is a member of VALFIX’s Board of Directors and an investor in the company.
Dr. GARY GERSHONY
Dr. Gary Gershony is an Internventional Cardiologist and board certified in both General Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the Royal College of Physicians, the American Heart Association and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. Dr. Gershony is also a serial entrepreneur. He is the author of 10 issued medical device patents. He is a member of VALFIX’s Board of Directors and an investor in the company.
Dr. YARON ALMAGOR

Dr. Yaron Almagor is an Interventional Cardiologist and the Director of the Invasive Cardiology unit at Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem, Israel. He is one of the pioneers of Interventional Cardiology and a leading Cardiologist in Israel. Dr. Almagor is well known and respected in the International Cardiology community and serves as an associate and co-director of the Columbus Heart Center in Milan. Dr. Almagor has been instrumental in several development projects throughout his career that resulted in the market launch of several medical devices.

Dr. GREGG STONE
Dr. Gregg stone is the Director of Academic Affairs for the Mount Sinai Health System. He is also a Professor of Medicine and Professor of Population Health Sciences and Policy at The Zena and Michael A. Wiener Cardiovascular Institute, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. Dr. Stone has served as the National or International Principal investigator for approximately 100 national and international multi-center randomized trials (many of which have led to new device approval or indications in the US) and has authored more than 2,000 manuscripts and abstracts published in the peer-reviewed literature. Dr. Stone's areas of expertise include interventional therapies of acute coronary syndromes; transcatheter mitral valve repair and replacement; clinical trial design; and regulatory issues.
Dr. Joachim Schofer is an Interventional Cardiologist and the Medical Director of medical care center and Department of Percutaneous Treatment of structural heart valve disease in Albertinen Heart and Vascular Center in Hamburg Germany. Dr. Schofer is an Internationally renowned Interventional Cardiologist with multiple awards, more than 300 publications in high-ranking international journals, more than 1200 presentations at scientific conferences. A pioneer with over 15 years of experience in the percutaneous treatment of heart valve diseases, specialist in the treatment of the mitral and tricuspid valve and the first European operator to do a MitraClip mitral repair procedure, a mitral repair with the CARILLON Device and a tricuspid valve annuloplasty with the Mitralign device
Dr. JOACHIM SCHOFER
Dr. Semih Oktay is the President and Founder of CardioMed Device Consultants. Dr. Oktay worked for six years as an expert Mechanical Engineer and scientific reviewer for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the Office of Device Evaluation, Interventional Cardiology Devices Branch. In this role he served as primary reviewer in the product areas of coronary stents, peripheral stents, and balloon angioplasty catheters. Dr. Oktay holds a considerable and in-depth understanding of the fields of material science, medical devices, medical device regulations, and regulatory submission requirements.

Dr. SEMIH OKTAY
Dr. Martin Leon is a Professor of Cardiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and Director of the Center for Interventional Vascular Therapy (CIVT) at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. A distinguished pioneer in interventional cardiovascular medicine, Dr. Leon has been the national principal investigator for over 50 clinical trials that have helped shape the field. He has co-authored almost 2,000 peer reviewed scientific publications and abstracts, which have appeared in the most prestigious medical journals. As a practicing Interventional Cardiologist, Dr. Leon has performed over 10,000 procedures during his career.
Dr. MARTIN LEON
Dr. Thomas Modine has an MD, PhD and MBA and is a renowned surgeon in TAVI, TMVR, minimally invasive surgery and valve sparing techniques. He is also involved in basic science research programmes and in the development of percutaneous mitral devices. His research interests are in aortic valve complex, bioengineering, beating heart surgery, hybrid approaches, TAVI and TMVR. He is currently working as a consultant Cardiac Surgeon at Lille University Hospital in France and as a Professor at Jiao Tong University, Shanghai.
